$725 Timex Watch

I've always been a huge Timex fan and have a few Timex watches. I would much rather have 4-5 Timex watches instead of just one $300 Seiko or such.

But a Timex for $725? Enter the Timex Linear Chronograph at Barneys -

Okay, so high-end quality and all that make it mucho dinero...but where I'm having trouble is adjusting the brand image of Timex I've had forever which is dependable classy watches for <$50.

It's like if GAP (big fan of this brand too) started rolling out $800 jackets.

What do you guys think?

It's a TX watch, their high end German brand. I think they look good, I was looking looking at this one as a beater travel watch.

I've handled two 300 series TX watches and they are substantial watches. I was impressed at the quality.
