I watched about 15 minutes of this recently. What struck me was how well tailored was the pinstripe suit he wore to a "drag show". I thought about how much of the seventies fashion was lost to polyester suits and the godawful leisure suit, but i know there existed some examples of well dressed men. I have to beleive it is not too much different than today. Although more suits today are most likely made of tropical weight wool, most are generic in style. What will we think when in thirty years we look back at all the pictures of men with overly gelled hair wearing their three button suits with the short gorge of the lapels and the top two buttons fastened? Classic styling has been around for a relatively long time in the modern era, but it never is the mainstream - like most of us here. Beyond the unattractive inherence of polyester, most men in their leisure suits still looked better than what passes for casual these days.
