this has vent on the back? the leather is suede?

Hey John, the leather is not suede, I am unfortunately not an expert in the different treatments of leather but it is not sueded. I tried to capture an image pretty clearly in the pictures, if I can provide any further detail for you on that please let me know how I can help specifically.

There is no vent on the back, if you would like a picture of the rear let me know and I will upload one for you.
