70% off sale at Saks Yesterday

Snagged 5 Canali suits , 2 button black label solids, for $340 per suit. They were so busy and so overwhelmed i'm not sure if they were even eligible because the salesman kept looked for the manager when he checked me out. But they had some real deals. those suits retail $1200-1400 and I couldnt find anything close to those prices on new models...

I took a walk over to Saks at lunch. The 9th floor still has some EGs, I saw maybe 8-10 pairs total. Mostly black captoes, a few dark oak captoes, and one chestnut. There was also one black pair with broguing - not exactly a standard wingtip, it had some kind of funky cut to the wing. most pairs of the captoes were 8 and 8.5 US, maybe one 9 and one 9.5 in black. The brown shoes were definitely in the 8 and 8.5 range. Tag price was $1065 with 50% off. Sounds like a better deal could have been had yesterday.

I also saw some Westons, Churchs, Artiolis.

Also, the EG display was gone from the 6th floor shoe section - is Saks no longer selling EG?

I tried to try on a pair of black Southwolds (?) last week and they couldn't find the left shoe. It was sheer madness. Went down to Paul Stuart and picked up some Stuart's Choice instead.
