I was at the Buckle the other day with some friends and was looking through some shirts on their rack. Â One shirt I found that I liked was a pink shirt with thin black diagonal stripes (I'm thinking of making my first pink shirt purchase... Â

) which was made by a company called 7 Diamonds. Â It looks like it is basically just kind of a trendy style/club style maker of shirts. Â None of them you could pull off at work, let's put it that way. Â Now, the shirt in question was $69, so I was wondering if anybody knew about the quality of said shirts. Â I am trying to become better at spotting cheaper stuff at inflated prices, and some of the diagonal stripes didn't match up along the front and the shirt doesn't feel that great overall. Â It does fit me well, though, and I like the style. Â So if anybody has any opinions or knows where I might be able to find this brand cheaper, it would be greatly appreciated. Â Thanks guys. Kevin

I've seen these shirts exclusively at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack. I think you're right in saying they're clubby and sold for the styling, not the quality, an assessment reinforced by their sales at Buckle.

But if you like the styling, why not. If you have a Nordstrom Rack I'd suggest checking it out; it might be last season but it'll probably be cheap, like $30.00 I would figure.

EDIT: just looked up Rack stores, and it doesn't look good, Oklahoma there's none out there. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I think they are generally not too bad quality, obviously not quite up to T&A, etc... quality, but not too shabby, kinda similar to Ben Sherman, etc.

Bought one at Gary's in Del Mar. Great fit, meant to be worn untucked. Nice details on the collar (two buttons) and cuffs (either 2 or 3 buttons). Wife loves the way it looks on...always a good sign.

I paid $90 or so. Buttons are not unbreakable, as my laundry has demonstrated on more than once.

I hate 7-Diamond shirts; their styles are really trendy and annoying (total clubber look which I thoroughly despise), and the textures of them are flamboyant and feminine.

7 diamonds are not great quality, I prefer Ben Sherman for that look, there are some cool diagonal/vertical striped shirts from there, quality is not wonderful, but not too bad either for what you get.

I will agree that Ben Sherman shirts are better and when found on sale (or Bluefly) are worth the money spent...but alas are nothing special even for just being casual shirts.
