60% linen 40% silk SC--too wrinkly for business?

I've come across a nice subtle glen plaid sports coat I'm thinking about picking up, but it's a 60%/40% linen/silk blend. I would wear this jacket for business. Should I be concerned that this fabric will be too rumpled for work wear?

I've owned jackets with similar compositions and to be honest they have varied by manufacturer. Some handle well, having decent crease resistance and/or not creasing badly or deeply, whilst others quickly deteriorate into looking like I've slept in them.

I know that's probably not that helpful but the best test would be to try the jacket on, within a couple of minutes you should be able to draw an inference as to which category the cloth falls into.

I'm just not experienced enough with the fabric, and unfortunately it's a mailorder piece. Sounds like it might be a risky bet.

Thanks!

I would bet it would be fine for summer wear if you live somewhere warm. I'm a lawyer and most of the year I'm in suits. Here in Texas, though, dress codes get looser in the summer and I wear linen and seersucker a lot. It will be a little wrinkly but that's part of the charm.

Should be totally fine assuming it's nice and hot outside.

I think the one I have is 70/30. Does it wrinkle? A little. I doubt anybody but me notices.

One point it wears warmish. So don't expect it to be cool in the hottest summer weather.

I wear silk/linen blend trousers in the summer for business casual, and they do wrinkle. A silk/linen sports coat won't wrinkle as much because of the construction and lining. But it will wear warmer than you think. Silk traps heat, and I prefer 100% silk for spring. 100% linen is better if you want to stay cool. Adding a little silk won't help the wrinkling of linen enough for the lack of breathability to be worth it.
