So, I got my Hawaii SC40400N and 5EP LDBs one-wash in the mail today. Both have fantastic denim - I'll definitely have to get used to the aesthetic of the Hawaiis - they're soaking as we speak.

How much do the 5EPs stretch? I already took off the tags (<me dumb>) because I planned on keeping them but they fit very tightly on me. I can button the top button; I know people on this board frequently have this issue from sizing down. Would it be worth the effort to soak them and wear them wet for stretching? I could wear them as they are.. I'm just not accustomed to the *********print they leave when I do.

So.. if I can get used to them or stretch 'em a wee bit, I'll keep them. If not, you'll soon see some NWOT jeans up on B&S soon.

they will stretch a bit, in my experience, probably about 1-1.5" in the waist and some in the thighs/seat. If you can put them on they will stretch where they will be comfortable, in my experience.

Yeah, I had this problem with my PBJs at first--a bit constricting across the front of the crotch. I can't say for sure about the 5EPs, but with my PBJs and every other pair of jeans I've had that had that problem, pulling them down on the hips a bit and giving them some time to stretch got rid of the whole "Oh, I see you dress right" phenomenon.
