They don't run large for all models, the straight down zip are quite slim

Another vote for the 5EP lowdown bootcut jeans with button fly. Mine is the one wash version. I would say it is a mid rise pair of jeans. But I had to snip off the Kaballah-esque red threads near the patch, though. Didn't quite like that.

Be it my snuggest fitting highest rising pair - I still LOVE my 5ep jeans. I wear mine high up around my waist, not usually my preference but with everyone else around wearing sagging to falling off jeans - I don't mind looking different. Besides, the rise is so high that even if I could wear em lower (yea, that snug) I wouldn't - for fear of looking like I did a bowel movement in 'em. I left the lil red strings on mine, they're kinda cool. The denim quality is awesome and the color of the wash is great. I went to Blue in Green yesterday and while I was totally impressed with their stock - I like the fit and feel of my 5ep over the Samurai 505's I tried on.

I also think the 5ep bootcut are the best jeans I've ever owned. The quality and the details are perfect. My only caveat - be sure to get the right size. I bought mine on ebay and learned the hard way that they run about 2 sizes big.

I'll second what everyone else is saying. The quality and detailing is second to none - they're built like a tank. They'll take me quite a while to break in.

I had to go two sizes down on the boot. Regularly wear 31, but bought a 29. Legs are still rather slim. Hardly looks like a bootcut if you ask me with a 16.5" hem. Pasted my measurement of the jeans below from the measurement thread.

5ep low down boot - dry
    Size: 29x32
    Inseam: 34"
    Front Rise: 11"
    Back Rise: 15"
    Width at Knee: 7 3/4"
    Hem: 8 1/4"

So Brian SD, do you just wear them up at the natural waist then? I recall you saying that you weren't much of an antifit kinda guy in some other thread, somewhere. The rise on the 5ep's has always sort of put me off a bit, notwithstanding the awesome denim quality.

I am wearing my bootcuts (raw, but rinsed by me) more often than my Straightdowns these days. I like the antifit jean, but have lost a bit of weight, and the Straight downs are just a bit too baggy at the hips ( I am one of those hipless wonders.) For an antifit, I would size down 1. I am very happy with my 30 Low Down boots, but I could easily have gone down to the 29, or even lower (my natural waist is 30, but I generally wear 31 or 32 jeans for an antifil). The rinsed 30s have just under a 32 waist. Yes, great jeans. Honestly, the denim is on par with any of the Japanese names bandied around (well, I haven't tried on Pure Blue Japans), and the fit keeps true to the "originals" while being a slimmer (provided you get the size you want), more modern fit. Sort of Repro quality with modern sensibilities. I am also going to give both cuts a big Yay.

Hmmm, this is all good to know! I like the fit, and the bootcut seems pretty understated, which is also a good shot. Admittedly, I'll be breaking in these SCs for now, but I'll be sure to grab these 5eps while the going is good.

Oh yeah, there was a hoodie there by "Ever" that looked pretty sweet, albeit slightly expensive. How're they? I just scoured 42 pages of Streetwear and didn't pick up much information...

Can someone tell me if they make any jeans slightly wider in the knee and leg than the RRDS.

It's hard to compare them. Certainly, for a given size, the 5EP are bigger than the RRDS in every aspect, but the bootcut for the RRDS is more pronounced than the 5EP bootcut.

I think that at last news, HTC had some 5EP left. American Rag is the other obvious place that has them.

I misunderstood what most people meant by the phrase "antifit." I've always been a real fan of it. I usually thought of it as jeans being worn really saggy. My JR Californias are anti-fit and I love em. I wear my 5EPs lower and anti-fit, I definitely don't hike em up to my natural waist.

Huge lesson learned for me here. Never had such high rising jeans before these and they are just too tight to ride low. They stretch a lil bit each time I wear them and I wear them a lot. My fingers are crossed. I too like the antifit and hope to get that with these.

Are they the buttonfly? My 5EPs are definitely not the highest rise of my jeans.. no where near. They're about level with APCs... higher than Crate though I'll give ya that.
