5EP - a message from Godmother

Hey guys,

So, Godmother pulled her back, so she is a little laid up for a bit. She assures me that all shipments of 5EP goodies will be ready to go out on Feb 15, come hell or high water. Anyway, she and I ask for your patience. 15 days or so is not all that long in the lifetime of a pair of 5EP jeans, as Brian can tell you better that I.

Also, (and I don't know anything about this), the CC fiasco is being sorted out and some sort of Paypal system is being implemented. I am sure that Godmother or Hitman will contact you guys who are affected by this.

Dude, the rise on the bootcuts is not that high, really. They actually shrink in all dimensions with wash.

As for new fits, you'll have to wait until March, when a few stores will get a preview of FW07 jeans, and, if I am not mistaken, they will also be sold online at www.5ep.com. I have no more info than that.

I sent an email to hitman & haven't heard back. I guess I'll post the question here...

I currently have a pair of APC New Standard in size 28 that are a little snug. I normally wear about a size 30 in other brands.

What size would you recommend either in a straight down or low down in a one wash or raw?

What would the price be for the jeans & please include any applicable tax or shipping?

How would I place an order?

Search for my post in buying and selling. Get a Size 30 (either cut). A size 28 NS fits regular (not loose, but definitely not tight) on me, and the size 30 Bootcut is slightly loose in the waist and seat on me.

Not to go against LA Guy on this, but I wear a 28 in APC NS and my 5EP straightdowns (bought in Rigid(raw) are a 29, and i actually kinda wish i'd gotten a 28, which i emailed the Godmother about with no response much the same as posters above. They have been washed 5 times (no worries about not washing these bad boys, they take a LONG time to fade and lose almost no color when soaked) and they never shrunk all that much.

Incidentally, i am wearing right now, 11 months in and they are looking great, but let me re-iterate. This is really high end dyeing and fabric, takes a LONG time to wear in. If going from APC to 5EP, don't expect the easy 6 month fade, it won't happen unless you are working in a coal mine. That said, they are by far my favorite jeans.

Well. I HAVE received a reply (Nyah, nyah!).

Godmother is recovering from rather serious injuries to her back. We should all be a bit patient. We love their product, but need to be a little thoughtful in this window of time.

The wait will be worth it. There's a reason that 5EPs are always up at the top of everyone's Top 10 list!

Note LA Guy's earlier instructions: This is a clearance. Email your choice in, and after 15 Feb the orders will be filled. I think we can presume on a first-come first-serve (AKA- barbershop democracy) basis. Ask those wearing them about sizing in the meantime.
