The theme for the last day of my son's school is the 1950's and the kids have to dress the part. He's 4 years old, and they will spend a great deal of their time outside that day. Any tips, outfit/accessories ideas? Only one week to prepare.

Thanks,

Fabienne

Well unless you have some rather narrow ties and narrow lapeled suits that might fit a 4 year old, I'd go with a horizontally striped tee-shirt (multiple colors of varying narrow widths), jeans with the cuffs rolled up and a coonskin cap...you know, the Davey Crockett type. And yes I was 4 years old in the '50s.

Good suggestions. Also, perhaps pomade for his hair, if he will stand for it.

Be sure to roll a pack of Luckys into his T-shirt sleeve.

hardly

this is for a 4 year old's theme party

The proper FL answer to dressing 50s is gabardine Ricky jackets, gab shirts & trews, etc

I don't think it's Fabienne's intent to go all out like that, just general guideline for a fun kid's outing

I like this idea. Simple and fun.
