A friend of mine mentioned plans to have a suit made here. Does anyone have any experience with this shop? I stopped very briefly once -- around 1999 -- and it struck me that the construction was rather on the cheap side. But I might be mistaken and have grown curious. Thanks.

I can't recollect ever hearing anyone specifically refer to 40 Savile Row, but they do have a website, albeit one not very informative.
