Again, I disagree with basically everything you've said. We all get to have opinions, though...I believe your statement about the low gorge's effect on the lapel is the opposite of reality: the low gorge makes the lapel look wider.
The waist is 'feminine' because it's trying to mimic an hourglass figure, similar to women's garments. Men's waists and hips are normally not shaped as the jacket is. Minor waist suppresion is tolerable, but this jacket is bordering on mimicking the female form.
I'm not sure why you think brass buttons on a blazer are "costume-ish." Brass is the traditional and proper metal for a blazer.
