That means first thing in the morning the only place your body has to get energy is from your muscle and fat stores.
Nah...glycogen isn't used much as a substrate during prolonged aerobic activity (e.g. running), and even then glycogen stores from the night before will be depleted in the liver -- not in muscle tissue.
