They're sized about the same, but the RRDS shrinks a bit less and stretches out a bit more. You can expect a full 2" stretch, after first wash, several months into your wear.

2" stretch in the waist.... and some stretch in thighs/seat as well?

based on your comments, sounds like I made the right decision.

I wear a 31 RRDS and a 32 RRDG, and both fit well. The RRDG fit a little bigger in the leg. I think that as much as anything else the difference in feel comes from the fact that the RRDG is even stiffer than the RRDS at first. I take the smallest size I can button all the way up the first time I try, and that's the 32 RRDG and 31 RRDS.

cool... that sounds consistent with my decision.

A snug fitting 30" in RRDG... would be equal to a snug fitting 29" in RRDS?

If you were able to close all the buttons on the RRDG you should be fine. When I tried jeans, here's what happened: RRDS, 31 buttoned, but with effort, 30 couldn't get all buttons up. RRDG, 31, couldn't button all the way up, 32 worked reasonably well. I think you made the right choice in size.

yeah, thanks DGP...

got the rrds today and the 29" fit snug... can button with minor effort. Definetly the right decision.

They are very nice and can already see that these will be my favorite jeans to wear. The fit is impeccable. The rise is a bit higher than I would have guessed. I didn't get a nudie box with these, just the tags and the fit guide in the back pocket.

Can I assume you got from Revolve? I didn't get a box either. Probably hard to fit in the Priority mailer they use.

yeah, revolve... suprising good customer service and delivery aside from not getting the box.

Bought 2 pairs of Nudie RR and never got my boxes either. I don't mind much since they go in the trash anyway.
