3 Button or 2 Button suit?

I want to start a debate over which suit is "better". In my opinion, 2 button suits are on top because they don't envelop you like a 3 button. They allow you freedom to show your shirt and tie as well so you don't look like one big suit! What are your thoughts? Do you like a completely different suit (1 button) altogether?

I tend to agree. I feel "wrapped up" in a 3 button. But they look nice on others. I probably will not buy another one.

I'll cut to the chase - the answer is both. The favored style is 3 button, with the lapel cut so that it rolls to look like 2 or 2 1/2. Sorry to kill the debate.

Talking about more formal suits, I prefer the two buttons. On the other hand, if we talk on jackets I pick the 3 roll in 2.

If you're on the shorter side, I definitely say 2-button. The deepened V-shape helps make you look taller. If you're already tall, you can do either.

I would say it depends on your height. Under 6 feet, stick with the 2 button. Over 6 feet tall, you can go with either one. I have both (being 6'3") but prefer the 3 buttons.

Finally, an issue that's never been discussed on Style Forum.

How is the 3 roll 2 being better than a 2 button?
