3/4 Lining vs. Fully lined

By way of my first post, "Hi" to the forum.

My questions is, in general, is 3/4 lined suit pants better than fully lined? My first foray into MTM suits, via FitWel (and my last with them), is that the suit pants were all fully lined. I've read some posts that recomment only to the knee.

Is the general consensus that lined to the knee is better than fully lined?

I prefer lined to the knee-- fully lined just seems to add bulk and heat retention.

I agree, I like to the knee.

lined trousers especially full lined are hot in the summer, and cold in the winter.
if you opt for a front lining, go at least 6" below the bottom of your knee. this will help retain the crease.

Lined to the knee on the front works well. Anything more is unnecessary and uncomfortable bulk.

What is the purpose of the lining? I actually much prefer unlined regardless of the material of the pants. I always thought I was in the minority though, since I typically can't find anything less than 1/2 lined.
