I'd say go to Komi. It isn't like Citronelle but it's great.

Ray's is nice, but I would not leave Chicago to get a wet-aged steak in DC. I took my sister to blaksalt last time I visited, and I really liked it. It's a seafood place, so everybody should really like fish if you're going to do it. Jaleo or Oyamel are both pretty reasonable and good.

If you find yourself near Gerogetown, there is a Thomas Sweet Ice Cream there. It's one of only 3 locations (the other two are in NJ by Rutgers and Princeton). It's one of my favorite things. It's actually about 2 blocks from Skyvalet.

Yes. Gangs of violent thugs are assaulting tourists. Don't you watch the news?

In you insist on coming, do not use the subway. Also, stay off the sidewalks.

Brasserie Beck has great food. The mussels are unreal.

CDFS, I am no longer in DC, much to my dismay.

Belga Cafe for lunch. It's in Barrock's Row off of the Eastern Market metro station.
7th Hill Pizza for lunch too which is off the train station but actually right next to Eastern Market market.
Not sure about Dinner.

Agree with Brasserie Beck is a great place. Don't recommend the mussels though.

cool, thanks. all I'm going to stay someplace downtown - I have to be in the commerce building all morning, and then probably stay on the mall in the afternoon, so I will be staying in that area.
