If opening from 18" at the knee wouldn't you guys consider this flare?

I tell you if you can't try it on - you are taking a gamble. The site specs has the opening as 20" but by my measurements it was closer to 22".

    Sucks huh?

Hey -- Cheapmutha (and/or others), how do you 'tame' the bootcut?

by sewing the outseam straight. basicly find the narrow part of the knee and measure it, then from the inside of the hem make the same measurement, or you can make it smaller if you want to have tapered jeans. make a amrk at that measurement, draw or pin a line from the knee to the hem, and then sew along that line. you can also put the jeans on inside out nad pin them to fit how you like and then just sew alo the line of the pins.

the outseam is usually the easier of the seams to use, as it is not felled or sewn flat to the leg. you can do the inseam if you have selvage that you want to save, but if there is a line of stitching running up the inseam you will lose that, and probably have to take out the outseam, re-sew the inseam flat, then re-sew the outseam. or do like i did and re-sew the entire inseam and leave the stitch out.(a bit cheap looking IMHO, but i am a cheap m-----f----r)
