It's like shooting yourself in the foot. We've had every chance to take the lead but have blown it.

The scene before the disaster commenced. White Sox 6, Tigers 1

Terrible errors in the field. Clumsy plays. Mental blocks. Lack of effort. Raburn!!!!!!!!???????????? I know why Leyland put him in, but what he has done in the past is irrelevant to today. I'm going to be miserable all day.

They absolutely have to take the final three games. The way they'd been playing they probably also needed last night. Raburn's swing makes me want to stop watching baseball altogether. I'm not sure how he generates any power with his back foot moving all over during it. Impemba and Allen last night during the game said Fielder and Cabrera had 0 at-bats with runners in scoring position in the Angels series: pretty disappointing.

The Brewers have made it to .500!

ESPN has them at a 3% likelihood of making the playoffs. That is a bunch of crud in my opinion. Should be more like 40%. I'm gonna write them a letter.

Finally, a win! Two more to go in this series with the Sox. In a teasing statement to the press, yesterday, Leyland said that his Wednesday lineup will stir up some controversy. Oh boy. Please don't play Raburn--who is a nice guy-- again. Ever!

Brewers are getting very close to their second ever Wild Card Championship! They're going to have to win on the road, though, which hasn't been their strong point.

Tigers win 8-6. Though, in the top of the 8th inning, it was 8-1. At that point, naively, I thought "Game!" But, not so. Benoit and Papa Grande made sure we had some tense moments till the end of the game. It seems that every win comes down to the last hour. Nerve-racking!

JV on the mound tonight--if it doesn't rain.

Bobby V is such a douche. God what a loser.

As for Taibbi, it's just like a Red Sox fan to despise the owner who brought them their first championship(s) in 86 years. The only thing worse than the Sox (Yankee scum excepted) are their fans.

I think the Sox (fans included) organization is worse than the Yankees.

shouldn't you be happy the O's are doing well? the red sox are a zero right now in relevance.

I hate the yankess and lakers, but don't hate on the fans that were born there geographically and basically were born into it.... did you get into a fight with some massholes in the past or something?

The problem I have with the Red Sox is that they're fake. When they won the 2004 WS they spent more than the Yankees did, but they were packaged like some kind of scrappy pack of September call-ups who stunned the mighty Yankees. Fighting against all odds against the iron fist rule of New York. That merry band of self proclaimed "idiots" who won over America's hearts. While the Yankees are somehow the Evil Empire (a nickname given to them by Larry Lucchino) because they spend money to win. It just created a paradox for me. Sorry if I'm too hard on them, but to complain about tactics used by a team to win and then use the very same tactics....to me is hypocritical.
