I think its a good choice.
Jesus, anybody following the "Miami" Marlins?
^ The new Yankees. Yes. They're buying up everything, but why move Ramirez?? Can't you just put him at 2nd or 3rd?
I think Ramirez has signaled pretty clearly that he's not happy about the Reyes deal and being moved to third. I imagine the Marlins don't want a disgruntled Ramirez in their clubhouse; he's enough trouble under normal circumstances. That said, I think I'd feel pretty peeved if I were Ramirez too.
Jeter handled A-Rod. Maybe he should grow up.
I don't disagree with that. (Although Jeter did hold on to his shortstop position.) Whether Ramirez should grow up and whether the Marlins can reasonably expect him to grow up are different questions, though.
I think Ramirez will stay and Reyes will play 2nd.
Pujols won't sign and they'll go after more pitching.
They will still suck.
uniform and new emblem is atrocious:
Pujols feeding frenzy is ludicrous. He is a demi-god in a historic baseball city; he is being linked to three teams, one that treats baseball like an amusement park, one is a perennial loser on the other side of the rivalry, the other has one of the smallest fan bases. This can't be anything but driving the price up.
I'm an angels fan and I'm not even sure that I want him.
you know how there's a "mystery" 3rd team in the pujols sweepstakes? its the angels.
I wouldn't rule out the yankees too. even with Tex, they can bring in Pujols and just trade tex for more pitching.
Looks like the Marlins have taken their offer off the table. At any rate, a ten-year contract for Pujols is crazy. But that's probably what he'll get. Listening to STL radio tonight, sounds like a lot of the locals are upset at Pujols for not having already signed with the Cards. If the Cards have crappy teams five or six years down the road b/c Pujols is making all that money and underperforming, I'm not sure if he'll remain a demi-god here.
The new Marlins unis are better than the old ones IMO. The original teal ones were great, but when they made black the primary color, they looked awful. I'm not nuts about these, but the orange alternates do look very nice. The Blue Jays, Orioles, and Mets made massive improvements in uniform this off season.
Yeah, that's the team that "treats baseball like an amusement park".
Albert to the LA Angels. The AL is becoming the place players go to die.
i would totally trade tex and get pujols, im sick of seeing soft pop ups to 2nd
Just saw on espn.com. I guess money talks.
