1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Pineda is just keeping it real. Although I think it would behoove the Yankees to bring on Gaylord Perry as a consultant.

I guess it carries an automatic suspension. What a dumb rule.

without getting into cheating in baseball and how many people actually do it, Pineda deserves a long suspension simply for being an utter fucking moron.

He really is an idiot. How dumb can you be?

I'm also tempted to blast Girardi for letting it happen, though I suppose you don't think you have to sit down with a guy who clearly should have been tossed last time up and say "Hey, dumbass, don't pull that obvious shit again."

Pleasantly surprised by the O's so far. Lots of things are not going well; starting pitching is weak, bullpen has looked shaky at times, total offensive power outages at times, yet to emerge from a 16-game trip around the AL East and come out of it 9-6 (with a rainout) is pretty damned impressive. Schoop looks like he may belong at this level, which would be a real boon when Machado returns.

    Adam Jones still scares me.

I have a feeling Schoop will be at 3B, Machado at SS, and Hardy a Yankee if HRam isn't available next year.

I haven't heard that one before, but I don't think Schoop is really a natural 3B.

Yanks signing Hardy would be a mistake, IMO. I love the guy but I fear he is in decline. Maybe if they signed him on a 1-year deal or something...

Schoop isn't a natural SS but Machado is and I think he belongs there. Schoop shows promise but Machado has proven to be exceptional.

I think I was suggesting more that Schoop would be at 2B. Machado's long-term future is definitely at SS. If Hardy left, I think the O's would be more in the market for a 3B.

Ah, true point. Either way, I don't see Hardy sticking around with what the O's have.
