Did he hurt himself during his little diving escapade?

Thoughts on the Luke Shaw leg-break yesterday from the Moreno tackle? No card issued, but tackler repentant.

Good lord - Florenzi hits it from the halfway line on the touchline and loops over Ter Stergen to put Roma level w/ Barca. Goal of the European season, without a doubt.

apparently in real time from the ref's perspective it didn't look bad. but i can't understand that since it's pretty obvious even at full speed that he went in with two legs scissoring Shaw which should automatically be a a red even if outside the box and if minimal contact made...

I know it was just Maccabi but we definitely needed this confidence boost. Been very disappointed with Hazard since the last two games of last season, today was no different. RLC, Azpi, Baba and Oscar were great today though.

    That florenzi goal.......:slayer:

POS Suarez says Florenzi's goal was "a slice of luck" :satisfied:

@romafan: There are rumours linking Ashley Cole to United as a short-term fix because of the Luke Shaw injury. While I don't like the guy, the move would actually make a lot of sense with his experience. He was after all one of the few truly world class English players in his prime. What happened at Roma that led to his contract being cancelled? Has he lost it?

Never showed much - he did get playing time early in the year due to Balzaretti's injury but didn't impress.

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me since from the (admittedly little) I've seen of him, he's declined dramatically. Both Blind and Rojo are left backs so this wouldn't seem to be an emergency. Pulling Blind out of CB could be an issue; he's done well there.

Gutted for Shaw, though. He'd started the season really well.

FWIW, Darmain has played LB too. Drop Valencia back to RB - where he's always done rather admirably, IMO, and shift Darmain over if Rojo isn't up to it.

    Which he should be.
