2014: threads you must subscribe to

    The premise: There are some really good threads that only have occasional activity, so they get buried at the bottom of the forum even though they are must-subscribe threads.

    The goal: Everyone has their own personal menu of threads they are subscribed to, so I thought it would be a good idea to do a little information-sharing to collect a best-of. This sort of post occasionally appears, but I feel it's time to take stock in 2014.

    Caveats: the WAYWYWYWNRNNR type threads that are always pegged to the top of the forum don't count. We are looking for niche threads here.

    I will propose two. Perhaps you have some other ideas. We can create a running tally in the OP.

    Good one, and new to me. That Soviet tie with plastic interlining had me rolling.
