labial incompetence just means that it takes effort for the lips to close. he really does have some advantages (anatomically speaking) for inflicting damage. its not the size of his teeth, but the overjet and proclination of #8 and #9.

What was a bigger story Zidane head butting or Suarez biting a player?

Well, while I was in Rio I would rank the size and visibility of fan groups as follows:
    1. Brazil
    2. Argentina
    3. Chile
    4. USA
    5. Colombia

Harder to say in Sao Paolo because it's a huge city and the festivities aren't concentrated in a small space like Rio did with Copacabana and the Maracana.

I was not able to make it to the smaller cities, but I'm sure they get completely overwhelmed by the traveling fan groups. My friends went to Belo Horizonte to see Colombia and told me the city was a sea of yellow. Another friend is in Porto Alegre right now to see the Argentina Nigeria game and it's obviously overrun by Argentines (the city is very close to the border too)

I was quite proud/happy to see a lot of passionate Americans turn out, but we don't quite have the tradition and joy that the South Americans do. I was also mildly surprised to not see too many Europeans (decent number of Brits, not too many Italians or Spanish), but they do have to travel farther. A good number of Aussies despite them being the farthest of all!

you said a mouthful there, but i dunno - this may be an example of the press biting off more than they can chew (or their eyes are bigger than their stomach?), i mean they've really torn into this story w/ gusto - a couple of sound bites and the public is gobbling it up - i'm not sure it's as easily digestible as they are making it out to be. poor suarez, all that hard work and then this - he must really be feeling down in the mouth...

Koke and Juanfran recommit to Atlético.

When will anyone figure out that these long-term contract extensions almost always serve as a precursor to the players actually moving? It just ups their price tag so the club can maximize on them going out.

Why can't you stomach this argument? Are you saying that Suarez doesn't have an appetite for this type of thing? When all is said and done Luis will have to swallow his pride and apologize if he has any hope of tasting victory at the end of the tournament

It's certainly hard to ruminate on. Even FIFA will have to sit down and chew the fat before making a decision that they hope everyone can stomach

That's what I'm talking about, Messi. Explode out dem blocks.

EDIT: And then surrendering an equalizer less than a minute later is wonderful too.
