800 ponies is just astounding. Never even looked at a Mustang twice, but I'd definitely like to try that Super Snake out.

I love the GT500's, but for some reason I've been nothing less than intrigued with the Mustang Boss's, especially the Laguna Seca editions. I can't think of a more purpose built track car at that price point.

Not my cup of tea, but it does grab my attention.

I really like the new mustangs. Just sharpening up the last body style and bumping the hp helped a ton.

Get a new argument, mustangs have always been able to handle well.

+1

The handling arguement has become a little weak. A 'track packaged' equiped Mustang is quite capable on an open track. The GT500 is a Street bruiser, whereas the Boss 302 is more of the track carver, IMO the Mustang development team has done an amazing job covering all the bases.

These 2012's are really making me miss my old Stang'

It looks better than the ZR1, which will be its main competition (from a price/power/pedigree standpoint).

The rear tires on the stang seem surprisingly skinny. The vette has 335s. The tires on the Mustang are much smaller. I wonder if there was some sort of design issue that prevented them from putting wider wheels on the car.

Is it the norm for cars like this to have no engine/transmission warranty? If you've got $100k and you're going to void the warranty anyway why not get an Evo/STI/335i/etc. and go crazy?

I'm with Southern-Nupe re: the Boss.

$80,000 for a brand new car and there is no warranty on the engine and trans, lol. I'd still buy it and drive it daily.
