1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

A booster paid his application fee and juiced the committee's admission committee, just like the student athletes.

A variation of the principle "it takes a thief to catch a thief," perhaps?

^ I understood that was the players' punishment. The program can still face major sanctions. Like Reggie Bush giving up the Heisman (personal penalty, even though he was long gone) and USC's loss of scholarships and bowl ban. At least, I hope Miami gets a major ass-whipping for such an egregious violation.

Reggie Bush's "punishment" as it relates to the Heisman Trophy return has nothing to do with the NCAA sanctions (at least directly). The Heisman Trust is a private organization and they independently decided to make him return it.

In the case of Miami, it's the school trying to put a band-aid on a gunshot wound. If they play these players and all this stuff is inevitably found to be true, they'd be so much more fucked than they already are.

Thumbsup to Wisconsin driving down the field time and time again. I'd like to see our D step it up though, no reason UNLV should be able to move the ball at all on us.

It looks like Wilson has made a smooth transition. Wisconsin should be ranked higher. They're going to be really good this year.

Those Maryland (and several other) uniforms are truly atrocious.

Wilson looked good as did the offense. He gives the Badgers that extra dimension on offense. But let's not forget that they were not playing a good
football team. The Badgers lost some great firepower on the line. I want to see how they do against better competition before I think they deserve to be a top 10 team.

    Good to have Borland back!

HORNS: Game is nuts. Who would have thought the battle for the Texas Protestant Soul would be such a great game?

So Georgia State made history tonight in a just phenomenal blowout of Clark Atlanta. 365 nights ago, GSU played Shorter University in its first football game ever. The score then: 41-7. Tonight's? 41-7. Also, reliable inside sources tell me there is now talk that bo schlechter could be a legit Heisman candidate in a few weeks...
