We already know that LSU is better than Alabama (and Oregon). I want to see if they're better than OSU, too.

I'm sick of the SEC pimping itself like a whore to the media. LSU is a legit good team. Alabama is a team with a great defence and a terrible offence.

I recall that Alabama had more and better scoring opportunities than LSU in that game. That's beside the point because Alabama lost and shouldn't be rewarded for losing.

I think that was one of LSU's worst games this season. I've seen Alabama play 3-4 times and their offence has always looked amateurish at best. Their defence is amazing, though.

The kicker, not the team, lost that game. BAMA outplayed them and is the only team who'll present the remotest chance of knocking them off the top. Wanna guarantee an LSU championship? Put any team other than BAMA in against them. I'd rather see an actual competition than pander to some crap about conference championships. Big 12 doesn't even have one this year...

Well, I have to say: hat's off to Neuheisel and UCLA. They fought, hung in there, played with dignity, and that last Rosario TD catch was a thing of pure beauty.

I suppose Oregon wasn't really amped for the game, but at least UCLA played tough, moved the ball, scored, beat the spread, finished with class. Good for them.

I do think they should leave it at that and not apply for a bowl exemption.

Eh, can't put all the blame on the kicker. Most of those were pretty long kicks, and one was blocked IIRC. Bama just doesn't have good enough QB play to put up points against an LSU-caliber defense. Then again, who does? Going to be interesting to see how Georgia does.

The same argument can be made for OSU and Boise State then if you're going to lay all the blame on one person. We've also already seen Alabama give LSU their best shot at home and they couldn't cut it.

Well said. However, I believe they've already got the bowl exemption. I think it was tacky of UCLA to fire Neuheisel before the Oregon game. What if he had won?

I suspect that's why they did it. What if he had won? He's still not the guy to take the program to the next level. He never has been. He's a kumbaya singer and a c+ head coach. Getting run for a basketball pool was crap, but it doesn't make him any better of a coach than he is.

These seem like a really critical few months for the UCLA program. USC is down 30 scholarships for the next 3 years. Those 30 players could be the foundation of a championship program that can successfully recruit the talent rich SoCal area. Right now, a UCLA coach can (accurately) tell recruits that if they go to SC their team will never be deep enough to be national champions. Next year, that will be less true, the following year not at all. If they don't have a great recruiting year this year and those 10 players get scattered around the Pac-12, then there going to have problems for years. Getting embarrassed 50-0 didn't help them.

If there's a rematch, I refuse to watch the BCS Championship game. Only people in Alabama think there should be a rematch.

Agreed.

Moreover, if my Dawgs manage to win this evening and we still get a rematch in the NC, I'm not watching another BCS game that doesn't feature Georgia for a long, long time. I may well not watch another one until the whole system is changed.

True enough, but those were against ****** teams that they shouldn't have been in that position in the first place. My point is that bama is the only team out there with any hope of stopping the tigers. Anyone else and you might as well crown them champs now. I'd be all for it if there were another team out there that could handle them. The game may have been slow, but it was intense.

Then again, I'm not too into seeing basketball level scores in a football game. Most of the rest of the top ranked teams don't score 35+ points because they have great QBs...it's because they play **** defenses. On top of that, they HAVE to score that much becaus their defense sucks, too. Lsu will buttfuck them. Give them a real challenge.

I'm not in Alabama but a) Bama and LSU are the two best teams, and b) that first game hardly settled anything. I want to see it again.
