I think 'Bama wins a close one, but I don't think the game will be much fun for the neutral, what with the troglodytic defenses kicking the ever-living crap out of the offenses -- think two sumo wrestlers fighting inside a volkswagen ... :tounge:

I figure there will be less than 32 points total scored.

Don't you guys get a win there, oh about every second year? :rimshot: :plain: :fu:

You might want to tune into ESPN. While they've shown their usual restraint in not hyping a sports event that they themselves are telecasting, a few gems have still slipped out. Did you know, for instance, that Lou Saban used to coach at LSU? Or that this is the first meeting of #1 and #2 in five years (some of Stoya's more vulgar artwork notwithstanding)?

Or that notwithstanding the fact that #1 and #2 have met several times in the past 10 years, this is "THE BIGGEST GAME EVER!"

Well, if you're watching ESPN you're going to miss it. It's on CBS.

Well, I think UGA is going to do alright with their fifth string RB. 49 points in a half, daymmmmmmmmn.

42 of which came in one quarter! Plus, a bunch of those points have been scored by defenders playing offense.

I'm watching the game on ESPN3, and it's just a massacre.

Backup QB in for the second half and the entire o-line replaced by backups. Youch.

Yeah, that's nuts. I was a little surprised to see Mason take the first snap of the second half. It's a great situation for Georgia, though. We got the first-team offense through what basically amounts to a full-speed scrimmage for a half, and our top RBs are all getting a week to relax without their absence causing any trouble for Georgia in this week's game. That's not a bad way to prep for the crucial Auburn game next week.

Regardless of how the LSU-Alabama game turns out, I don't want to see a rematch for the BCS Championship.
