It would be so fun to play in Oregon's offense.

Especially for a twig like him (He's like 165 pounds lol). In a pro-style offense college he'd probably have to switch to corner.

Georgia pulled together an outstanding class, especially given the poor play in 2010. I was worried Richt's "Dream Team" concept would end up blowing up in his face, but it really worked out well.

Assuming he lives up to the hype, getting Crowell was huge.

Now we just have to wait until Saturday to see if John Jenkins is coming to Athens. He'd be an outstanding addition, possibly as big as signing Crowell.

For real. I'm super excited about the next season of UGA football. It's too bad I only have one football season left as a Georgia grad student.

so espn had footage of one of the signees putting on this UGA hat. It looked kind of BAMF. Outline of the state with UGA inside.

Not gonna lie, might get me one.

They don't make hats for GSU football?

That's the thing...signing classes are horribly inaccurate. ND pretty much always has a great signing class. HOw's it worked out for them?

    Difference is the coach.

Notre Dame does not always have monster signing years. And they, like the top tier programs (note - did not call ND a top program) get overrated in recruiting just because they are recruiting someone. If a kid gets an offer from Alabama or Florida, their stock often shoots up by some of the analysts.

Weis had a highly rated recruting year in '06. And he was excellent at getting the skill players to ND ( Clausen, Rudolph, Floyd, Tate) but he struggled on defensive side of the ball recruting (Teo big exception). And Weis also proved he could not coach them. The Irish were weak up front on both sides of the line in recent years. Thats what wins college football games.

Look at a program like Wisconsin. They rarely ever get a 4 star recruit let alone 5 star. Yet, they get good kids on the line (2 All Amercian lineman this year) and they know how to develop talent.

Net - you are right onhow tough it is to predict how these kids will turn out. And it takes so much more than just recruiting to have a top program. But it does all start there. Despite the success of a Wisconsin - look at Ohio State. They recruit top talent, develop them and over a long period of time, remain one of college footballs top programs. Wisconsin runs a great program and often overachieves. Ohio State gets better talent and is an elite program, often in the chase for the national title. Thats the differnce recruiting can make.

I fu#king love the Gut box!!! I haven't been to Tallahassee in 10 years and yet I always think about Guthrie's chicken, french fries, sauce, texas toast, etc. I emailed them about opening a franchise in Harlem or maybe Fulton Street.

I would take Guthrie's over Del Posto or Gramercy Tavern any day of the week. But my wife would probably divorce me.... Guthrie's does not have a Michelin star.

    Go 'Noles!

I was ashamed of it... so i deleted the post. Should have given 110% to the busch light.

When i lived there Andre Wadsworth drove a really really nice brand new 5-series BMW. And yet he was a financial hardship case. Those football players get some fancy cars.

Guthrie's is awesome. Perfect drunk food.

Really? I hung out quite a few times with Janikowski (believe every single story you've heard about that guy, BTW) and played intramurals with a few other players. Never saw that kind of stuff until after they were done playing football. (And I mean like a week after the season ended [IMG] )

What years were you guys at FSU? I was '01-05.

2000-2001, 2006-the present. Well, I got my last degree in '09, but still live up here. Can't wait for next season, although tickets are going to be a lot harder to come by.....

I was '96-00 then moved to NYC. That was when FSU had all the 1st round picks. Pete Boulware, Reinard Wilson, Walter Jones, Warrick Dunn all in the first 14 picks.

I see another draft like that coming in 2013!

My girlfriends best friend went out with this guy >>> 95 JULIAN PITTMAN DT

And he was best buddies with Wadsworth. And so i used to see the really nice white BMW on a regular basis. I lived at Casa Cordoba (what a shit hole) on Ocala.

I remember camping out for 'Noles tickets down near the baseball stadium. Those were the days!!

It ain't over 'til its Dunn
