So as 2010 is coming close to an end in a month, what is on everyone's list for 2011...

Here is mine:
  • Navy sport coat such as (would prefer patch pockets though):

Maybe a few other sport coats if I end up needing them for work this year...
  • Suede Balmoral captoes (probably C&J hallams):

  • Some sort of navy wool jacket for the winter
  • Monkstraps such as these C&J ones (malvern)

  • Alden Captoe #8 boots
4060.jpg

  • Alden suede boots (something like this)

  • 10 MTM dress shirts (probably all from CEGO) - 2 Spreadcollars, 8 OCBDs I am done with Jantzen I think... going to replace them all.

  • Probably 1-2 SNS Herning Knits, one in black color, one something versatile (not navy)
  • Could also use a nice green fall jacket of some sort...

Do not want to kop for rest of year list as I seriously have too many of them all and I am running out of room...
Jeans
Sneakers
Trousers
Spring/Summer outerwear
Casual Buttondown shirts
Cardigans
Belts

In fact after I kop all of the stuff above, I think I am done for a good while and will put my money towards something else, and hopefully wear the **** out of all my clothes for a good 10 years...

What is everyone else's plan for 2011?

You're going to drop 2-3k?

Still need a new suit, haven't been able to justify the price since I'd never wear it anyway, need knits and possibly something new for my footwear game

Well, I probably won't end up getting everything on this list, it'll probably take 2-3 years... but dropping 2-3K isn't too hard... some balla's on here do it in 1-2 purchases haha...

Probably won't get all those shoes, but will try for everything...

also I hear you on the suit, I bought 2-3 last year even though the only time I need to wear them is weddings... it is just good to have one nice suit, tailored nicely, it'll last you years... and you won't have to go through the pain of finding one for when you need one... because it is a pain ********** to find some decent suits at a decent price.

5 pairs of visvim highwater chinos
4 more Junya blazers for s/s
Navy and gold button BoO blazer
wild ass print shorts to wear with said blazer
a good pair of everyday shoes for s/s
a new blue and white oxford
thats it, also, a shitload of plain white shirts that are incredibly paper thin and lightweight.

In no particular order...2 pairs of jeans, dark blue and black. 2 pairs of slacks, navy and brown. 2-4 pairs of sneakers. Probably more Alden's to add to the rotation as well.

My goal would be trying to stay around $10k for 2011, but browsing this forum will make it hard to do so.

Last $1,000 before 2010 ends would probably go towards ToJ DR and WV.

I have a couple of gaps in the wardrobe to fill. And more knits of course.

Mostly MC stuff for me.

- Black captoe oxfords (Edward Green Chelseas would be great but I'm thinking C&J or Peal & Co. are more likely)
- Bespoke suit (local tailor who does great work)
- 4-5 more bespoke shirts (same tailor)
- 2-3 pairs lightweight summer trousers
- One or two knits (Fair Isle?)
- One or two neckties

i'm in the southern hemisphere, so:
  • a winter outerwear piece (probably TOJ)
  • lots of wool trousers (probably epaulet and/or panta)
  • a nice chunky knit, preferably turtleneck with some pattern and texture

Don't we all say this every year?

I filled a ton of gaps in my wardrobe this year - dress shirts, trousers, ties, knits.

Next year's kop list:

-A couple of suits. All I have is a cheap suit from Zara, which is fine for now, but I'm done with grad school this Spring.
-Dress shoes. I have two good pairs right now, but I'll need a larger rotation when I start working again.
-Belts
-Another pair of tapered blue jeans
-Shorts (upgrade from J. Crew jawns)
-T-shirts
-Polos - have two Raf x Fred, want more
