2 years wearing APC jeans. Still tight

I have owned this pair of New Cure APC jeans size 26 for about 2 years now. My waist is 28 but I sized down 2.
I don't understand how its still tight in the waist after 2 years. I can button up all but buttoning the last one is too tight on my belly.
Do you guys have any tips?
P.S.I have never washed it.

Yes, find a time machine to go back in time and buy a pair of jeans that fits you.
