2 Ultimate Indy Questions

Just got my first pair of Ultimate Indy's from LeatherSoul and I love them. I have two questions though.

1. Do I have to treat the leather in anyway to really keep them going, or should I just leave them as is and let them distress?

2. Any suggestions on a belt to go with? Any links would help

Something in a similar color family. Avoid exact match like the plaque.
