80's corporate wear makes me think of double breasted peak lapel suits and slicked back hair.

I freely admit that I love 80s styles. They have a flamboyance and swagger about them. Occasionally it veers into cheesiness, but nonetheless, tremendous fun.

If you want to see some more 80s corporate (or rather, Hollywood's technicolour fantasy interpretation of corporate), check out The Secret of My Success and Weekend at Bernies.

The Eighties were about excessive behaviour , a decade more ideological and more exreme than the consensual turn of the millenium...
Greed was good and in the same times Live Aid was pulling millions in front of their TV screens..
Let's remember the New Romantics , boys with make-up in idiotic costumes, Madonna, Rock FM, Power ballads with mullets and beyond all that a certain innocence maybe lost nowadays...

Some good pics. Interested to see more. That formal wear is disgusting, though.

That picture (or was it a video?) of Phil Collins in his four-sizes-too-large suit, have to love that. Image searched for it, can anyone find it?

Collins? Maybe you're looking for David Byrne?

80s... sure regean. every president sets trends. how about Dallas? ooh and Shoulder pads on guys too. Double breasted. the image of tom hanks in Big comes to mind too but thats more classic, not extreme. nice job with the brick phones. how about bag phones? or the original motorola flips. miami vice (already said), remember that talking heads (or maybe cars) video with the guy guy wearing the suit aout 10 sizes too big for him when he moved around it looked like someone was pulling doll strings, ooh and the cars video where he's standing on top of the water in the middle of the pool in that ridiculous pattern suit and tennis shoes. i'll have to go back and find some pics in my stash. hmm.... flava flav clock necklaces
