Gentlemen of eminent wisdom,I would like to ask you if it were possible to research a bespoke tailoring firm which existed on 745 Fifth Avenue,NYC. MacDonald & Heath LTD is the name.I found an amazing overcoat which was totally hand tailored in 1939 (according to the inside breast pocket tag)and in fine shape.Largest horn buttons I've ever seen, and amazing tailoring, would stand up to anything from Savile Row.Manton, anyone, can you shed some light on it?Cheers.

Best place to get an answer, I bet, is from the New York Public Library.

Their research librarians are extremely able, and the library is magnificent.

Everyone should give a little money to their endowment at Christmas.
