18 East X ALLCAPSTUDIO hoodie today with a Standard Issue t-shirt underneath. This is a dope hoodie; not as substantial as the SI ones, but a really cool design. I end up reaching for it quite often. Also, stoked that 18 East introduced me to SI. I've picked up a couple of things from them and Antonio was right, best sweats and tees.

the sizing is still so confusing. all the models are wearing XL - is that because everything is meant to be oversized? The sweats XXL has a waist of 31 - is that the same or different than my normal "denim" waist of 31?
some amazing pieces, but i must be misunderstanding these sizing charts.

The model is wearing XL because that’s how we envision our clothing to fit. Unfortunately, when we’ve deliberately sized things oversized, we’ve gotten a lot of push back, so the idea is that 90% of what we do fits true to an industry standard (we use Michael Prata who is an industry legend as our fit model), and if you want to wear it the way we show it, just size up and be okay with the fact that tops may be long or that you’ll need to wear a belt with pants.

The sweats are the singular definition of true to size. Just take your normal alpha size of you are looking for a “normal” fit.

My experience... go by the numbers on the size chart if you are looking for true to size. The fit pics are a very specific aesthetic that may or may not be your style.

Love the Balkans. Seriously, the Beag is amazing. They only had L left in stock when I ordered. XL-XXL would be better on me for a less fitted look, but too good to return.

Both are nuts. Very thick and very soft, but there is nothing delicate about them.

@NickPollica Eide trousers question. They have a similar vibe to the Ambro trousers, which I have and really enjoy. If I got a pair of the Eide in XL, would they fit similar to the Ambro in size 33, but with a bigger waist? (Which would be fine, since the Eide I could make fit in the waist with a belt.)

Sorry to cause you to have Eidos production nightmare flashbacks! I figure the Eide might be a bit bigger through the legs. Thanks for the info.
