When a pair of 18e pants have a high rise, are they meant to be worn on high waist as in the traditional classic menswear sense or low waist with the crotch hanging down?

Pivoting my wardrobe from the classic menswear space to 18e has been fun but sometimes I'm a bit confused of the intended fit.

IMO almost all styles should be worn down at the hips. I guess with the super long rise styles (Saph) you could wear them slightly higher and they would still look fine.

The danger of wearing drop crotch stuff super high rise is that you risk running the inseam short; for example the Saph jeans have a 28 inch inseam which would be very short for most people, unless compensated for by wearing them drop crotch (which is the intended fit). I wouldn’t wear them low waisted, but right at or above the hip like typical mid rise pants seems like a good compromise.
