12 yards of Donegal tweed from Molloy and Sons, one of the only establishments in Ireland (and in Donegal proper) still producing the fabric. See posts here on Styleforum, on Put This On, and the video on Nowness to learn more about the operation. I have 2 different patterns, with 6 yards of each. One is a charcoal/almost-black color, and the other is a deep orange color (unconventional, but absolutely gorgeous). Both have a weight of 545 grams per square meter (~16.074 ounces per square yard). If you're in the United States, shipping should be about $25? I'll have to confirm that, but if it's more it shouldn't be by much. If you're elsewhere, we can discuss shipping options. These sold for 39 Euro/meter (~$50/meter), and I paid a high cost for shipping, so overall I paid about $710. I'm not going to get around to having these made into suits, and I figure some on Styleforum might make better use of them. I think the fabrics should still be available from Molloy and Sons, but if you're in the US and like the patterns I have, you'll save a lot on shipping. Feel free to ask me questions. Thank you!
