Damn homie.

1) What do these shoes work with? Jeans? Trousers and a button down shirt?

2) Soles look like they were worn more than once?

Damn homie indeed!

I picture them with midweight flannels, cuffs no break. And a multi windowpane sportcoat. Blues and browns, not worsted but maybe also flannel. Fabric heavy enough to compliment the brawny alligator hide and chukka style.

Just once, and then I realized they were too large. I wear a 10D and have a bad habit of trying to make things work. Also it's worth noting that Uncle Ralph put the typical Italian style sole on the boots, which I assume was an attempt to keep them refined looking. They're about as thick as Gucci soles. If I were going to keep these I'd go straight for a topy; commando or ridgeway so they gain some heft without losing their dressy look. Definitely not lugs.

Thanks for checking out my listing!

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
