Also want to thank Jackstraw for a great package of gifts as he did not disappoint the year long expectations built up! Even sent my wife a nwt scarf! Thank you guys so much!!

Mine just arrived and I’m dying with suspense. In a twist of fate, the return name/address on the label got hit by snow out of the truck and smeared, but I do know it came from Sweden but I’m not sure we have more than one Swedes in the exchange this year!

I am going to do my best to wait until Christmas as I normally do despite the pressure from my kids.

Very excited!

Traveling on Christmas this year… that’s a valid excuse to open my box early right? @capnwes absolutely nailed my interests and I was blown away by the generosity.

Super soft vintage Lee chamois shirt, Killer single stitch Indian Motorcycles tee from 1995, natural overdyed RRL shirt and a beautiful slubby weave flannel from Gitman.

I’ve found a few vintage liner jackets over the years but never a full suit! Gonna come in handy in the cold northeast winter.

Some interesting vintage Levi’s I’m going to have to do some research on. They’re a tencel blend and made in Mexico - and not your standard Levi’s cut either. Duck Canvas pants are made in the USA. They don’t have a label but I’m fairly certain they are Epaulet rivet chinos!

Really awesome vintage Icelandic wool blanket

And an awesome assortment of records - all new to my collection!

Shew, what a relief. After searching your fit picks I was a little intimidated. lol, but I did my best.

I tried to remedy and age that RRL shirt to give it a vintage workwear vibe. I tea dyed it twice. Would really have liked dye it once more and then hit it with some paint splatter and maybe swap the pockets for something patchy and rugged......but I ran out of time.

Quilted thermal suit belonged wife's Pap. He would wear it at the cabin when we went hunting. True vintage for sure, since I know he hadn't purchased new clothing in a handful of decades.......'rona took him last year at age 99. WWII Vet, Fire Chief, and local legend... so wear it proudly.

The records were in sh*t shape for sure, but it's literally the first time I saw any rock albums in our area. I did get a chance to listen to them all before I let them fly and they didn't sound too horribly scratched. Wish the jackets were better though.

@capnwes you totally nailed it! I had a feeling the RRL was a DIY project. Love the idea - I will finish your vision for you! I have a friend who does indigo dying and already plotting with him on doing a cool tie dye pattern.

Super cool about the thermal suit. Sounds like it came from a pretty badass individual.

I get almost all my records from the thrift so I’m very lenient on quality. Most of my record jackets look like just like these. If they play okay that works for me! Hope you are feeling better and recovering from your mystery ailment.

Pap was a character for sure. Miss that old bastard.

Pumped full of 'roids right now, tongue is still swollen but I'm feeling ok. Still need to call my doctor today about having tests done.

I feel like this album (vinyl, of course) is the single greatest Thriftmas gift one could send.

Well, unfortunately mine was gone before I could post a pic but thanks to @HansderHund for thinking creatively while in a (stupid) Austrian lockdown - my gift box from a favorite artisanal foodie place was filled with fresh fruits, meats and cheeses - all of which got swooped in by my fam before I could get a nice pic. Crazy how this is I think the third time he got me as a secret santa. Wacky! I swear its not rigged.

On the other side of the coin, my recipient is in a pretty far away place and the parcel is still crossing boundaries for the second week.... fingers crossed!
