OP thinks only low quality suits are too cheap to have a real pocket sewn in.
He wasn't expecting this from a "nice" suit.

A formal letter of complaint should be issued to Burberry, highlighting:

    - precisely how demeaning and awfully inconsiderate they were to sew that breast pocket shut,
    - that if they do not correct the problem, a multi million dollar lawsuit will follow,
    - that their suits should be built with finest escorial wool, floating canvass and hand made button holes for under a grand,

Otherwise we will go all out war

come on now, how many of you guys born knowing this? OP is just a newb that's all. It's like how I started folding my umbrella properly ONLY after I purchased a Brigg...that came with the instructions on how to fold the umbrella canopy correctly.

So you didn't get any milk then?

    Isn't Burberry a Macy's brand?

I think if he'd come on here and politely asked "the pocket seems to be sewn shut, are you meant to just cut open these stitches?" then he'd have got a much different answer. Instead he comes on here exclaiming loudly in the title of the thread that the "$1000 Made In Italy" suit having its pocket sewn shut is "Bullshit", showing an extra level of stupidity that goes beyond simple ignorance.

Spot on. Reminiscent of: "What is this? A center for ants? How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read if they can't even fit inside the building?"

I bought a blazer at the beginning of the year and the pockets were all stitched. It´s just something to prevent people leaving their boogers inside of them [IMG]

I don't see any other reasonable course of action.
