an incredible vintage piece, most likely over a century old. this is basically wearable art.

constructed by hand using sashiko stitching, with many repairs. features 7 different kinds of fabric, with the outer consisting mostly of a dark, brilliant indigo. (i'd say it's a bit darker than it appears in most of the photos.)

the fabric is stitched together up to six layers thick, plus light padding/insulation.

the vest is in excellent condition given its age, and can be worn without any trouble. it is structurally very solid. however, there are several places where the fabric has torn and you can see the inner layers.

measurements are not going to be very helpful on this piece, given the cut. but for reference, i'm a size 50 and it fits me great. i'd say it could be worn by a 46-52 without any trouble.

shoulder to shoulder: 16"
back length (from base of collar): 28.5"
