It's interview season again and I'm expecting to be flown in to Boston next Wednesday for a fourth round interview with a law firm (I'll still work in NYC if I get the job though). The whole business should be over by noon, and then I'll have a few hours to spend in Boston. Now, if this thing goes well, I'll be in a mood to splurge on myself, so I need advice where to go - I know Louis Boston should be one place, and I have a good mind of checking the local Filene's. Any other places, bearing in mind I'll be in the Exchange Place area? any must see place for shoes other than Louis? Any decent place for a simple dinner for one (boy, do I hate eating out alone) before the flight home? Also, I'm planning on wearing this Hilditch shirt/ Arnold Brant tie combo. Suit will be plain navy, belt and shoes black - what say you all?

Nice enough for an interview with GP&H (I worked there as a summer associate). Check out Ari Boston. Ari is a good guy and is literally almost across the street from Exchange Place. Also Zareh, a little further up the street (although I prefer Ari). Good luck. Mistake working in NY though. I turned down offers from Sullivan and Cromwell, Cravath, etc. to work at Ropes & Gray. Boston is just a much more civilized place. Of course, I have long since retired from active practice.

Man, I hope nobody in the firm reads this forum...

Thanks for the tip - I'll check those places.

Re NYC vs. Boston: I've lived in this country for almost 4 years now, all of them in the NY area, and at this point, I can't see myself living anywhere else.
