I’m selling a lovely Brooks Brothers 1818 Regent Fit (Made in Italy) brown glen plaid suit, size 40S.
NOTE: The second picture is most accurate in terms of color.

The Regent cut is, I feel, Brooks best contemporary look: Slim-fitting (though not ridiculously so), dual vents, pick stitching, flat front trousers.

It’s a great suit that I am only selling because I have 3 brown plaid suits, and I need to make some room in the closet.

Asking: $145 --> $135 --> $125 (SHIPPED worldwide)

I have worn the suit about 10 times since I bought it last spring. It’s in fantastic condition. However, I recently had several of my suit trousers reinforced in the crotch area in a preemptive attack against what I can only describe as “Chubby leg syndrome”. These trousers were on of the pairs that were treated. No damage had been done to the trousers, but I had an extra layer of stitching added to the crotch to protect it from future damage. You can see the detail in the pictures. While this is not overly aesthetically pleasing, it would only visible if someone were to lay down t your feet and stare up at your crotch while your legs are spread. Barring that situation, the treatment is not visible.

Features:

100% Wool (Vital Baberis Canonico)
2-button jacket
Half-canvassed
Dual vents
Non-functional sleeve cuffs
Ticket pocket
Soft shoulders
Fully-lined
Flat front trousers (no cuffs).

Measurements:

Jacket:

Chest: 21.5”
Shoulders: 18”
Sleeves: 24.5” (with 0.5” to let)
Length (bottom of collar): 29”
Waist: 20”

Trousers:

Waist: 18”
Inseam: 28.75” (w/0.5 – 0.75” to let)

If you have any questions, please don't hesitation to contact me.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
