This car managed to beat the 911 Turbo on Nordschleife even before having reached dealer showrooms.

I'll definitely be looking at it next time I'm shopping for a M3. It sounds pretty badass based on the specs.

). The GT-R is awesome but may have to wait a few years until I no longer have passengers with car seats

Unlike previous Skylines, this car was engineered with LHD markets factored in.
The projected price is said to be around 70 large. Though with US$ being in the toilet, who the fick knows ?

Some nice (albeit brief) videos of Autobahn, Laguna Seca, Nurburgring (in the rain!) all weather testing in the snow, and high speed laps in Arizona.

Thought it was hideous 2 years ago and still think so. Great performance numbers though, beating a car that costs more than $50K more is very impressive. Already rumored that a hooked up version will come out in 2010 with a carbon and alloy body to reduce weight and further increase the numbers.

It's yet another Japanese nerd car (along with the STi and the Evo 8): ugly, ungainly form follows function, but packed with performance.

My sentiments exactly. It will likely sell out intially but its so ungainly looking that I wonder if the performance numbers and its reputation will be enough to make it a long-term sales success in the US. it could eventually suffer the fate of the NSX, still a beautiful car.

Wow... see I thought the NSX was super generic looking.
