MoL can you put me in on the list? Bought three pairs of shoes at the end of August, need to stop as that was a large portion of my paycheck.

Sure welcome aboard Stevent, but as a latecomer you'll be allowed no emergency fund. Agreed?
This will also apply for anyone else who wants to catch the train. We'll take latecomers until Friday midnight.

I couldn't make it. I HAD to have a Benetton cotton suit altered for a business trip next week but had to work 11 straight days, through Labor Day. I was finally able to drop it off yesterday (Sept. 04) for fitting and alterations and paid $37 for sleeves and cuffing. Then I thrifted a small Macy's Clubroom Carolina blue polo for $2.30.

Small size polos are hens teeth around here except for Old Navy, which don't even make good wheel polishing rags.

Still going strong here. I have some major purchases to make soon so I am well motivated to stay in our club here. I cant help but wonder how many of us will wind up starring in "Hoarders" in the future. I feel good to limit my spending and know I can control my impulses. Stay strong everyone.

I am still going strong. It isn't that hard though when saving for a pair of Carmina. I don't know if it will be a jodhpur boot, a chelsea boot, a chukka boot or a balmoral boot yet.

I'm still in, as well. But I have to admit that this has been harder than I thought it was going to be.

That this is already a challenge -- especially after only five days -- is a pretty good indicator why this pledge is a good thing for me. :satisfied:

Nope. Was in NYC over the Labor Day weekend - Purchases at Bergdorf, Brooks Brothers, J. Press, and Barneys Warehouse Sale.

I'll have to see if I can get all of my September shopping in by Friday midnight.

I'll do my best and get back with you.

This doesn't seem to be in the spirit of the no purchase club.

True, and I do see that this maybe a very serious thread for a good purpose.

However I meant no real harm.

I'm still hanging in there. Last weekend, I accompanied my wife and daughter to the outlets northwest of Houston. The Brooks Brothers outlet had more than the usual collection of 346-branded clothing, including a glen check tie that I've been trying to find for a while. I resisted the temptation.

Come on fellas, we're a fifth of the way through here. I'm still going strong.

Doughie I love that pair of jodhpur boots that Carmina does. On their main website page they are in a beautiful chilli red-brown colour (Vegano??) but when you try to purchase the only option is traditional dark brown.

Do you or anyone else looking in know how to order the chilli ones?

Stay strong my friends! 24 days to freedom!

In order to help to not purchase anything, Doughie should not answer your question.
