1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Forgive me MOL for I have sinned... Found a pair of Alden 686 loafers in very, very lightly used condition at the Thrift store for $7.99 and I couldn't resist!

I shall try to be stronger for the rest of the month.

In, except when Jamison releases his overcoats for Howard Yount. Needs one of them.

    Do not spend on clothes.
How did everyone get through the first weekend?

My wife and I visited relatives several states away and we drank an awful lot. It's tough to type a credit card number into the online form when you've gone cross-eyed from the consumption of gin and excessive noontime brewery tour samples. :nodding:

Understood a lot of you consider clothes with something of a passion, but does it not worry you when you need the discussion forum equivalent of an AA group to curb your spending? Or is this more a self-disciplinary measure, where you often spend a lot but you have wealth enough for it not to matter? I'm curious to know to what extent the more dedicated among you are prepared to sacrifice for a better wardrobe.

I did not sign up officially but this thread inspired me to take it one week at a time. Happy to announce that no purchase was made last week.

We shall see what lies ahead this weekend...

Still going strong.. almost picked up a HF suit on B&S and some BB shirts from Steve Smith but held back (thanks to some well timed ridicule from the wife. "You lasted about 2 days with this no purchase thing.")

Indeed! If this were a hockey team, most of our players would be scoring on their own net.

Is this the scene where Coach MoL gives the remaining players a rousing peptalk about staying in the game?

hey now.. if it wasn't for the lockout we'd be (finally) making the playoffs this year. Probably. Most likely. [IMG]

Failed. Bought a tie from Howard Yount. I saw Cantebrian's in a couple of posts and it just looked so good.

It wasn't even a crime of opportunity. It's not like I couldn't have picked it up next month.
