It's a velcro thing

^yep, i got those in 44 and returned, they're nice but the sides (from knee down) are velcro and extremely stiff/cardboard-like as a result which i personally don't like but it's just me.

If I am 46R in Jil trousers would 44 be the best bet in Rafs? I am looking at these items available on Rakuten and sizing information indicates that they are large sized in the waist. Could anyone confirm if this is generally the case? I once got something from the Japan and sizing was off and could not return.

Jil stuff is usually oversized, so I would not use that as your metric. Raf has run TTS in my experience, but I've only purchased shirts.

Porter suggests sizing down one on this seasons Raf pants if thats any help...

Anyone know anything about the fit on these trousers and whether or not there are any details that can't be seen from Yoox's stock pics? Yoox lists a 5.9 inch hem but that seems a bit crazy, especially if they're not talking about a 44 (my size).

I went to degli effete to check out some raf/jil stuff since labelfinder listed them as a stockist, but apparently they wont be having anything until fall. It's a cool little store though with all that harnden ccp stuff
