Biagio will actually be making a suit for my son who will be with me in Naples in Feb. I’m splurging on a suit from Rubinacci which will cost $4000 after VAT refund—but the price includes a two-bedroom suite in his villa with kitchen for six nights, which is at least a $1500 value not counting savings on at least some restaurant meals. (“Some”: not that I would go to Naples for a week and not eat in restaurants, but sometimes a “real” breakfast is preferable to the Italian cornetto.)I’m seeing Biagio Granata in Feb but for the first time. I think his suits run €1000. Like most of the younger guys he’s out of town, not in the high-rent district. Check out his Instagram, he posts a lot.
So factoring in that, the Rubinacci suit will cost me around $2500, about what I pay Andrea Luparelli in Rome.
