I think lapel width is very close to the RTW, if not exactly the same. I might try a 3r2.5 on a future order

Welcoming two new makers into the NoMan family :

Doré-Doré - the French sister company of iGent-known Gallo - is focused on less whimsical designs than its siblings and makes socks in a vast array of materials. For this first season, we have merino wool, cashmere/wool mix, and even camel hair mix socks from them.

Samuel Gassmann - an ex-art curator who discovered a passion for buttons while researching men's clothing history for an art documentary, and made cufflinks his trade. His products are incredibly tasteful and use local artisans for their specialty materials, whether MOP, enamelled porcelain or solid horn. Gassmann's cufflinks are the antithesis of the large, shiny, "funny" toggle-back cufflinks that have been flooding the menswear landscape over the last decade. They're smaller and understated.

I like how the lapels are rolling out towards the collar. You needs some gloves today. :)
So serious question here. When you go MTO with a maker like Formosa what's the thinking on staying with the house style versus what Forex is talking about (i.e., having them create a cut that is to your specific style)? Certainly MTO is a good way to make sure the fit is right, but then there's this question of what I would term styling (lapel widths and roll, maybe waist suppression, and other things...). Not saying you shouldn't have a suit made to taste by whoever will make it for you... Just wondering.

My approach is generally to trust the house style. House style doesn't mean one particular combination of styling options. For instance, Formosa does a spalla camicia and a normal shoulder. Usually they do a normal shoulder in suits and a spalla camicia on sportcoats, but it's not a big deal to put a spalla camicia on a suit or whatever. Pressing the roll a little higher is not that big a deal, nor is widening the lapel, although already you're doing your own thing a bit and it might not work out as planned. But if you wanted a much more constructed chest, say, or a much trimmer and skinnier jacket, then you're better off just going somewhere else. Explaining and demanding what you want will be frustrating for both you and the tailor.

I just get sick of hearing about the fanbase BS, but it's mostly white noise anymore.

No pictures unfortunately. Everyone was taking pics at the Formosa fittings yesterday but me. I did wear your Mazz shirt up though. Thanks again!

Glad the Mazz works for you. Too nice a shirt to leave in the closet. The fabric is fantastic. Hope the Moonbeam special is shaping up nicely for you.

The whole "Eagles (or even Philadelphia) fans are the worst" is silly nonsense. It's just a media talking point that gets trotted out every so often because people need something to say, and one that some people in town are going to take a little too much pride in for the perceived tough-guy cred it brings.

Saw these on my visit and have been waiting for the drop. Not the most exciting thing to go up on NMWA, but they look and feel great in person.
