The Alva is indeed magnificent. It's quite versatile too since it's lightweight and warm from the wool and quilting and that great collar that goes way up and around a scarf, and its lack of bulk means that it can also serve as a windproof top layer for really cold weather. Pockets are also nice and deep.

Wow, that's a lot of little whales that guy is wearing.

I have to say that I assume this one is a stunt, while the KOY's previous photo at least has the possibility of being serious (maybe it's out of context and they guy is satirizing... am I being too generous with #menswear?)

It was a Pitti thing, Japanese magazine editors jumped on it, fast forward to shopkeeps in Tokyo doing this without an ounce of irony. Count Chocula style.

The half-life for these trends is about 5 minutes. I'm still eagerly awaiting for the one where you wear your underpants outside of your pants.

Hasn't Mr. Bean done that already?

Are we far enough off thread yet.

Yeah it's a "serious" fit alright, but what's serious and what isn't at Pitti isn't as clear-cut as it is in most places.
I honestly think it's subtle enough that I don't particularly mind it, but then again I wear turtlenecks under t-shirts and pinroll my dresspants
(so I fully understand if other more CM-oriented posters don't see things the same way I do [IMG])

I've never thought I could wear that style of sweater well, but this is well done Stitches and inspirational. The fit on you is great.

Hai guys, so the #SuperShatnez came in today, and before I bring it to the tailor, wanted to snap some fit pics for you cats.

I am diggin' it. NOTE: wrinkles are the result of being in a box for the last five days.

    The silhouette...

None of this portends the end times. They are just shirts and collars, best worn to suit the individual in pretty much every instance.

    Carry on.

Newc, it looks great in the distance shots but something about that close up makes it look huge. Must be an odd angle or something....anyway, that jacket is awesome. I'm jealous.

Thanks, I learned a new word (pinroll). Watched a video on youtube.

Newcomer, the jacket looks nice. It's the kind of silhouette my tailor wears (no Formosa relation). Does that make him cooler than me?

Distortion, the camera was not positioned high enough. Usually use a different propping instrument ha.

I just removed the offending picture, will take more snaps later ha.

Insanely beautiful jackets, but is it just me who thinks the double zippers in the up position look a little too much like tasseled pasties?

We should probably have shot them all the way down... Also, the leather strings can be removed from the zip pulls for those who want a cleaner look.

    Thanks bro :slayer:

Ha, only you can be the judge of that :). Older Italian men seem to be about as cool as it gets around these parts though haha.
